In an attempt to take the academy outside of the institutional walls, in an attempt to tap into the wisdom innate within our bodies, in an attempt to trust the wisdom of the land, how might we be in relationship to the text alongside one another?

Every Monday, Movement Philosophy will gather together to read writings (articles, poems, songs, essays, & more) and explore them through movement, the arts, and community. In an attempt to take the academy outside of the institutional walls, in an attempt to tap into the wisdom innate within our bodies, in an attempt to trust the wisdom of the land, how might we be in relationship to the text alongside one another?

Your favorite elements of a college lecture (the discussion!! (imo))), meets embodiment explorations, meets community engagement, meets reading circle adjacent!

We will gather for a small meditation and check-in, followed by a quick guided movement, reading of our texts together, discussion, followed by more movement, creative exploration (writing/drawing/making of any kind), before we close out with a final discussion time.

Sliding scale of $5-25.

This is for all people wanting to explore embodiment, somatics, writings, world building/dreaming alongside others in community. All bodies, physical abilities**, and experiences to writing, academic texts, somatics, the arts, and more are welcomed.
