Arts Doula

Somatic artistic coaching for embodied creativity.

I deeply believe we are all creatives
with creativity as our divine birthright.

Let’s work together to give voice to the creative world that is already alive within you.

What is an Arts Doula?

An Arts Doula is me! An Arts Doula works with people to cultivate connection to their own bodily creativity through somatic practices in order to deepen their relationship to their creativity, making, abundance, and imagination.

and how does this work?

  • somatic practices and intuition

  • writing, the arts, and dialogue

  • viewing creativity as a relationship vs. a tool

  • trusting the body as the 1st source of wisdom

  • prioritizing creative play + expansion

  • honoring curiosity without control

  • centering your own joy and desire

  • online and in person

Okay, but who is this for?

  • Those seeking to explore their inner creative for the first time.

  • Established Artists desiring to deepen (or begin) their embodiment practices in and through their creative making.

  • Creatives wanting to explore new mediums, move through creative blocks, and explore bodily sustainability & rest centered within project specific works or overall studio practices.

  • Anyone who feels called to this work or me (trust your gut).

Madi’s instinct is unrivaled. Her ability to see and anticipate what will intensify a project and elevate it to a visceral experience is wildly keen. Madi’s background in poetry is carried across her artistic sensibilities, proving that artistry is not just what one creates, but an innate way of living, being, and seeing.

More about sliding scale+Payments

  • Sliding scale is the idea to work to make things as accessible as possible

  • The asking price is the actual cost of the program/session

  • The lower end is for those who feel they are not able to make the asking price due to financial barriers and systemic barriers

  • The upper end is for those who feel they are at a surplus of resources due to financial abilities and various systemic privileges

  • Payment plans are always available and flexible to the individual.

  • Not sure of where to place yourself? To the right is a helpful link for sliding scale I gathered from Embodied Astrology.

Participants at a retreat Bartlett and Parker co-led in 2022.

Madison Mae is a teacher who I have been given the gift of teaching and facilitating workshops with... she draws out the best of the people she is teaching. Her gentleness and her humor helps foster group cohesiveness, and she does not present herself as the ‘ultimate knower’ of everything but rather goes on a journey with her participants. People can genuinely be their authentic self around her. and that is priceless.

** These sessions are not to be treated as therapy. Although we will touch on potentially emotional and creative subjects, Madison Mae Parker is not a licensed therapist, but a registered somatic movement educator through ISMETA. For a list of therapeutic resources, please click this link. ** In addition, I do not imagine this being long term, but to set you up for continued success within your own work of movement, creativity, and pleasure.
